In 2011-12 the Government launched its Pupil Premium funding. The Pupil Premium is an initiative designed to narrow the attainment gap between economically disadvantaged pupils and their more advantaged peers.
St Michael’s School is committed to the principles of inclusion and has a determination to ensure every child succeeds. The strategies the school has devised for use of Pupil Premium Funding are in line with current educational research into good practice as identified by The Sutton Trust. We closely monitor the progress of all pupils in the school to ensure the best possible provision.
Measuring the impact of Pupil Premium spending
The school will evaluate the impact at the end of each term and will report this to the Governing Body. Evaluation will focus on academic attainment and progress and also on how self-confidence develops as a consequence of the planned support.
